Tomato Tasting

Saturday we hosted our first Tomato Tasting event.  We had over 16 varieties of tomatoes for folks to taste, from Cherokee Purple to Italian Red Pears and Garden Peach.  The hands-down favorites were Amana Orange (heirloom) and the Sugar Sungold cherries (not heirloom).

We hope to do this again next year – it’s a great way to try different varieties of tomatoes without having to buy the seeds or plants and then wonder what you are getting.

If you grow heirlooms, and would like to share some of your favorites with us next year, give us a call come August and we’ll give your fruits a spot on our tables!
