The Importance of Urban Wetlands and Outdoor Experiences

Here at The Dahlem Center we are concerned about the loss not only of outdoor experiences for both children and adults, but, as Robert Pyle puts it in the following video, the “loss of the desire to have such experiences.”

This video was put together for the EPA to promote the value of urban wetlands. Here in Jackson, where wetlands once were very common, and still exist to some extent, this is something we should consider.

Please take a quarter-of-an-hour from your day to watch this important video.

We need to save these pockets of wetlands for all living things!
