Quick Garden Tour

Summer and Gardens – the two go hand in hand.  2010 marked the first year of Dahlem’s Community Gardens.  In this our second year, we find that creativity grows in the gardens are readily as plants.  Here is a glimpse of some of the garden plots so far this spring.

This killdeer is doing its broken wing “act.”

There must be a nest nearby!

Sure enough – there it is.

The gardeners have flagged it so no one steps on it by accident.

Tea Garden

Bean poles, or pig cage?

Are those native flamingos?

A gnome home?

Visitors are invited to check out the gardens.  You might get some tips from the growers, or from Lisa Brown, the farm educator.  If nothing else, you’ll certainly get some ideas for making your own garden a visual delight.
